About Us
Ficient Web Solutions Inc. is an Orléans (East Ottawa) web development company specializing in web programming and database development. We also offer services in graphic design, e-commerce, web hosting, content management systems and IT consulting.
We are located in Orleans where most of our clients are located, but we also have clients all over the city and Eastern Ontario. We are also members of the Orleans Chamber of Commerce and Business Club d'Orléans.
In 2006, Ficient Web Solutions was given the Technology Business of the Year award from the Orleans Chamber of Commerce. At the same event, Remi Paquette, the owner of Ficient Web Solutions received the Young Entrepreneur award.
Furthermore, in both 2007, 2008 and 2009, Ficient Web Solutions went on to gather 3 more nominations in the Technology Business of the Year category.
Ficient Web Solutions in the Community
We like to help out where ever and when ever we can.
As a technology company, we are constantly asked to provide our services pro-bono for some charitable cause. Ficient Web Solutions generally chooses one project per year and offers its services free of charge.
Here are some of the charities/organizations that we have helped in the past or are currently giving them a lending hand:
- Orleans Festival
In its second year of existence, the Orleans Festival gathers the best artists in the region in the following categories: music, dancers, storytellers, chefs, and artisans. This year's event is being held on June 3rd and 4th 2011. Come have a look.

- The Unforgettables Fund
This organization believes the final moments with a child should not be spent in financial worry. Every child is entitled to a dignified funeral. The Fund's mission is to provide financial support where needed.

- Golf Tournament for Make-a-Wish (organized by the Business Club d’Orléans)
Make-a-Wish is a non-profit organization that grants special wishes to children who have been diagnosed with life threatening medical conditions.
The Business Club d’Orléans is a French networking group that focuses on community development. Membership is limited and specific requirements need to be met before a member is accepted into the club.

- PleinChant
This choir performs memorable songs in both French and English. Each member comes from the Orleans community and are dedicated to their singing.
